Singapore Cricket Association is the official governing body of the sport of cricket in Singapore with its current headquarters in Stadium Crescent. Singapore Cricket Association is Singapore’s representative as an associate member of the International Cricket Council since 1974. Singapore Cricket Association is also a member of Asian Cricket Council, Singapore Sports Council and the Singapore National Olympic Committee.
Singapore Cricket Association was constituted as a society on 4th of November 1965. Singapore Cricket Association’s vision is to develop the game by making cricket a recognized and enjoyable sport for all levels and ages of players in Singapore by embedding cricket into the cultures and passion of the people of Singapore. Singapore Cricket Association’s Key values are embedded within its mission statement: “Singapore Cricket Association is the guardian of a contemporary game in Singapore. Singapore Cricket Association is an accessible, financially viable, vibrant, performance driven organization. Self-sufficiency is valued within Singapore Cricket Association, member associations, clubs, players and other stakeholders of cricket. We aim to be the top echelon of cricket associations in this region in all aspects of our organization.”
Singapore is currently ranked 27th in the ICC global ranking (17th outside of the test playing countries). SCA successfully hosted the Pepsi ICC World Cricket League Division 5 in Singapore in February 2012 and earned promotion to Division 4 by virtue of being crowned champions of the Division 5 tournament. Singapore narrowly missed promotion to Division 3 in the later part of the year finishing third in the Pepsi ICC WCL Division 4 in Malaysia; however, Singapore improved its world ranking by 5 places this year moving on to 27th place from 32nd place last year in the ICC world rankings.
Singapore Cricket Association’s domestic scene has more than 100 teams participating in the Singapore Cricket Association league spread over 6 divisions for the club competition, 2 corporate league divisions for Singapore based companies. Singapore Cricket Association also runs the national school’s championships in three divisions and other ad hoc tournaments for the schools. The first women’s league was put into place this year with 3 teams participating in the inaugural season.

Apart from the national league, SCA also organizes the women’s league, Junior Cricket League, national school’s championships in three divisions and other ad hoc tournaments for the schools.
Apart from the above, Singapore Cricket Association as a governing body organizes various cricket education programs in conjunction with the Asian Cricket council for Coaches, Umpires, Scorers and Curators. Singapore Cricket Association also caters to the cricket community through the SCA Cricket Academy by organizing weekend coaching clinics and holiday camps and development tours for the cricket enthusiastic kids in Singapore.
